So now I have come up with a new type of business plan, after being Offord the opportunity to do a walk through with an agent, who had placed a client’s home on the market for a few months, and was still receiving know offers. She wanted me to go through the home and give my expert opinion as to help the home owner sell their home. So as I did just that it occurred to me that she not only wanted me to assist her in ideas but to assist her in explaining to the home owner why there home was still on the market and not selling. As I walked through the home with the agent, and home owner it was very clear as to why the home was not selling. So my next step was to go over with the home owner all of the pros and cons of their home. Then within two days I was receiving calls from not only the agent but also the home owner who desperately need to sell their home, wanting me to do work on the house to make it sell ready. At that point I sat down came up with an estimate for the home owner and began work two days later. The work was completed within a week and there was a full price offer the same day. After my experience with this agent and home owner I realized that this was the type of work I wanted to do. The pure joy that I received from not only the home owner but the agent, truly was an amazing feeling. The realization of understanding the agent was stuck between a rock and a hard place, and need the assistance of an outsider opened my eyes to a new opportunity. Being an agent is hard enough not being able to produce a sell for a client due to the condition of a home is difficult. I am a general contractor that gives agents and home owners the opportunity to get an outsiders point of view. My moto is producing a quality job for a reasonable price. If I have learned anything it’s that the largest obstacle agents and home owners run into is the cost it takes to get a home to a move in ready state. There is nothing worse than getting consistent feedback of I DON’T WANT A FIXER. My job is to turn that statement around to this home is move in ready at a cost that is minimal.
