While in Vicenza this spring, Ben has been visiting the work of Andrea Palladio with his students.
What continues to inspire us is the clarity of Palladio’s architecture. His buildings are geometrically precise and highly legible, standing as distinct objects while also bringing order and character to the spaces around them.
From the Basilica Palladiana and the Loggia del Capitaniato to Villa Forni Cerato, these works remain powerful lessons in how architecture can shape both a building and its surroundings, nearly 500 years after they were built.
