Our client wanted to maximize the available natural light, open the floor plan, and update their finishes. The results show in the crisp color contrast, improved flow, and elegant design.

Their new space is highlighted by all LED lighting, custom cabinets, Cambria Natural Stone Surface and cherry wood countertops, Wolf/Subzero cooktop and refrigerator, Kitchenaid double oven, and Bosch dishwasher.

New blog post: Cabinets are on site!

We are into the finishes at the Palo Alto kitchen remodel. Westwood Design inc. of San Jose is spreading cabinets for installation and custom scribing in the bar countertop. Can't wait to see the results.

New blog post: Palo Alto kitchen remodel - revised floor plan

Although the rough framing is ongoing, our client can now see the "bones" of their revised floor plan. We were able to place the second beam into the ceiling space yesterday.

Barbara Carlitz Design of Palo Alto and Hobach-Lewin, Inc., structural engineers also from Palo Alto have been great to work with and put together a fine set of construction documents.

Having passed both the foundation and underfloor framing inspections, we went vertical with the framing members that will not only carry the ceiling loads but also help to support the roof. The posts and beam replace a load bearing wall, allowing us to open up the floor plan.
