Ever since I started in the family business, I have been asked..."Why is the company called Rosenberger Plumbing and Heating?" Here is a post from 2013 that tells the history of RPH.
As we move forward in ever changing industry, I can promise we will be utilizing the knowledge, values and commitment to the customer that Uncle Joe, Dad and John had taught us.

After serving in the navy during World War II, Joe Rosenberger returned home and started a plumbing, heating and contracting business. Utilizing the attitudes, attributes and hard work ethic displayed by the Greatest Generation, Joe established his company as a leader in the plumbing, heating and mechanical fields. The company was always known provide the best products and service. The company became one of the first EFM dealers in the coal region. Then in 1978, Joe retired and sold his company to his nephew (and our father) Joe Wollyung who had started working in the company as a young man. After serving in the Army after high school, Joe W. returned to work with his Uncle Joe and was appointed to be a supervisor with the company. When the business was sold, Joe Wollyung kept the name Rosenberger Plumbing and Heating. He also kept the same deep rooted foundation of providing quality products and services for the customer. As the coal region and the industry changed so did Rosenberger Plumbing and Heating.
In 2003, Dad stepped back and let us ….John and Mike Wollyung… become owners of the business. Having worked under “Uncle Joe” and our father, we knew we needed to continue to keep the reputation as a company you can rely on for dependable service and value.

I just want to take this time to thank all of our customers who have reached out in so many ways after the passing of my brother John. Voice mails, text messages, phone calls to tell me how John had touched their lives. How he quickly became more than just the plumber.. but also a friend.
I’ve had salesmen, supply houses, bank personnel, our accountants and all throughout the trades and beyond offering their help and support through this time..

To our customers, thank you for your patience as there obviously is a delay in my response to your issues through these cold days of winter.
It’s been a tough year and half. First losing Dad in April 2020 and now suddenly losing John in December. Obviously the loss is devastating personally but when you work in a family business the loss is compounded. Professionally...I learned a lot.. well just about everything..from these two big men pictured ( I’m the scrawny guy on the left) They were big guys.. physically.. and giant influences for me, the business and the entire community. I will continue to work to grow this business with the hard work and community minded spirit that John and I had learned from the 2 generations before us.

As for the future of Rosenberger Plumbing and Heating.. I am happy.. and very proud.. to announce that my Nephew Andy Wollyung will be coming back to RPH! Andy brings a skill set and knowledge that will be a huge asset for RPH and all of our customers. (Please look for a future post introducing Andy and what he will be bringing to the company.)

With the weather starting to heat up and the humidity on the rise... Here is yet another example of how RPH can keep you comfortable while saving money on your energy bills..
In these pics you will see an installation of a ductless heat pump system In this system There is one outdoor unit with 3 indoor units.
There are endless options as to how you can configure your system... From 1 to 8 indoor units off of one outdoor unit.
Not only will this unit give the customer cool air in the summer. It will provide efficient cost saving heat during the heating season.
This customer has electric radiant heat in the ceilings of the house.. Causing the electric bill to be very high during the heating season. The ductless Fujitsu system was a perfect fit for this house. The heat pump can provide heating and cooling throughout the year while saving money!
So if you are sick of having to remove and install that window air conditioner and are tired of having your neighbors listen to your conversations because the noise from the window A/C unit makes you turn the volume on the TV to scream mode... Just think of how a ductless heat pump could run more efficiently and much quieter while keeping you comfortable not only in the summer.. But in the heating season also. All while saving you money in energy costs!

*Check Out the Pics in the Comments* ......Here is just one of the examples of how our company can help save you money on your energy bills. This house had an over sized "fire breathing dragon" of an oil burner. The customer asked us for recommendations to switch to natural gas to heat their large beautiful home. We weighed all the options and figured that the best fit for the home was to use the Lochinvar Knight boiler. One of the advantages to using the Knight boiler was the small footprint of the unit to allow for extra storage in the basement. The unit also utilizes PVC piping for the exhaust...This saved money because if a traditional boiler was installed a new chimney liner would have to be installed.......But the biggest advantage is the systems ability to save the homeowner MONEY on heating costs!! The Knight has an efficiency rating over 95%!!! Plus the unit utilizes an outdoor reset control which will only allow the boiler and the radiators to heat to a certain temperature based on how cold it is outside. This saves alot of money because the boiler "adapts" to the conditions inside AND outside the house..................................................... The struggle to keep heating bills under control this past winter has shown that the use of space heaters(electric, kerosene, pellet/coal/wood stoves has risen. What if you could install a "space heater" that can also provide air conditioning in the summer? What if that system would not require any work, that's right no ashes, no pellets, no cutting and storing wood, and no smell? Just pick up a remote control and turn on the comfort!
RPH services and installs the Fujitsu ductless mini split heat pump systems. "Space heater" would not be an accurate description of these units. One unit outside can provide comfort to up to 8 units inside with minimal alterations to the living space...these system can become an entire house comfort system.
RPH has installed these systems to help reduce energy costs for people who have oil heat, electric baseboard heat, electric radiant heat, propane or natural gas heat and even coal heat. They have been installed in homes, offices, shops, church halls ands fire halls. The applications are limitless.

Here is an example of how to reduce your heating costs in your home...An oil to gas conversion. The pictures below depict how it is done the day of the conversion. Completely tear down the unit and clean all soot and debris...remove old oil burner and install the new gas fired burner...run a new gas line from the meter to the boiler....wire the burner and adjust the settings...Fire the burner...use a combustion analyzer to set up the burner to run at peak efficiency.
