At Quandel, every project we complete is made possible by the people behind it.

This past weekend, employees and their families gathered at Lake Tobias Wildlife Park for our 2026 Enterprise-Wide Company Picnic. It was a day filled with adventure, laughter, and the opportunity to connect outside of the jobsite and office.

Events like these are a reminder that the relationships we build extend beyond the work we do each day. We're grateful for the incredible team that makes Quandel what it is and for the families who support them every step of the way.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's picnic such a memorable event. Here's to another great year of working together and building stronger communities.

From intern to Estimator, Jacob Wells continues to grow with Performance Construction Company. Jacob first joined Performance Construction Company as a winter break intern in 2021 while attending Pennsylvania College of Technology. After graduating with a degree in Construction Management, he joined our team full time in July 2023.

We are proud to recognize all of his hard work and continued growth over the past few years and look forward to seeing all he accomplishes in his new role.

Members of the Performance team enjoyed spending last Friday with colleagues from across the Quandel family of companies at the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce Annual Golf Outing.

As part of a company founded in Schuylkill County more than 140 years ago, we are proud to support events that bring together local businesses and strengthen our community. This year's outing was especially meaningful as the final tournament held at Mountain Valley Golf Course. We also sponsored the golf ball drop, where Quandel equipment kicked off the fun, and one lucky golfer won a Quandel cooler. Attendees also had the chance to enjoy frozen margaritas powered by Quandel's portable solar generator while teeing off at our sponsored hole.

We are incredibly grateful to be part of a community with such a strong tradition of collaboration and support.

Performance Construction Company has received an Excellence in Construction Award from the Eastern Pennsylvania & Delaware Chapter of the American Concrete Institute (EPDACI) in the Innovation, Sustainability, and Resilience category for the Stony Garden Dam Rehabilitation Project.

As the concrete subcontractor to KC Construction, Performance was proud to contribute to this important project for Pennsylvania American Water. Our scope focused exclusively on the concrete work associated with the rehabilitation effort, supporting improvements that will help enhance the long-term safety and reliability of this critical infrastructure asset.

Safety Week Day #5: Slips, Trips, and Falls
Slips, trips, and falls remain one of the leading causes of serious injuries and fatalities in construction, but the good news is that most of them are preventable. From uneven surfaces and poor housekeeping to unprotected openings and working at height, the risks are everywhere...but so are the controls. At Quandel, we stay ahead of hazards by keeping work areas clean, marking and securing openings, using proper access equipment, and staying aware of our surroundings at all times.
