🎵This month's live music comes from Ame Arcana, the genre-blending indie rock project led by Poughkeepsie’s own Ame Spins, bringing haunting melodies, alt-rock energy, original music and favorite covers to the heart of downtown.

👟You are also invited to start the night early with City of Poughkeepsie Run/walk Club GoKeepsie! Our local running crew will meet for a pre-First Friday run at 5 PM at Mahoney's (35 Main St.) After the run, join us on Main!

8-9:30PM!

🌝 FRIDAY, AUGUST 21: WALKWAY AT NIGHT 🌝

There's nothing like a moonlit evening on the World's Longest Elevated Pedestrian Bridge. The next Walkway At Night is Friday, August 21 and we're keeping the park open late from 8-9:30 p.m. Come join us!

Walkway members stroll for free at every Walkway at Night. Become a member today at join.walkway.org. Non-members are asked to reserve a $5 ticket to help offset the cost of extending the bridge's hours. Children 12 and under are always free. RSVP at the link in our bio.

🎶 Join us early for a special pre-event concert at the Ulster Welcome Center Plaza in Highland featuring the Lara Hope Band rocking out from 6-8 p.m. Admission is free thanks to our friends at NY State Parks & Historic Sites. Bring chairs and blankets!

Rain can't keep First Friday Poughkeepsie down! They are activating their rain plan for tonight! Be sure to read all of the updates!

OK, we are activating our rain plan! Unfortunately, it looks like the weather does not want to cooperate so we’re taking the party indoors!

🟡 Our vendors, yoga classes, and DJ will be inside the Academy. 33 Academy St.

🟡 Our performances and the youth leadership ceremony move to the ballroom at Darkside Records. 32 Cannon St.

🟡 Live painting, crafts and games move to Reason & Ruckus. 305 Main St.

🟡 Food trucks will park down Cannon St.

Our local businesses will also still be open late with specials, so bring your umbrella and check them out! Thank you to everyone for the flexibility!

Aaaand we're back! On August 7, First Fridays are bringing family-friendly fun to Downtown Poughkeepsie. From 6-9PM we are closing off Main Street between Market St. and Academy St. to bring you live music from SoulSense, fire spinning, live painting, food trucks, beverage vendors, local makers, drum circles, games/crafts, and FREE yoga classes at 6:30 and 8PM!

Plus, 30+ Downtown Poughkeepsie businesses will be staying open late with exclusive specials, discounts, pop-ups and unique activations you won't find any other night. Grab your crew and be part of the event everyone is talking about! Free parking and bike valet available.
