Summer 2026 is all about warmth and emotion. Rather than a specific color palette, what’s trending this summer are warm, earthy, feel-good color palettes that include cozy, grounded, slightly sun-washed tones that feel like summer but still sophisticated. Both the sunset palette we shared last week and this week’s richer+earthier palette fit into this season’s color trends. I love how the different hues play off each other to create such a cozy, grounded space that still embodies the lightness of summer.

To kick off Pride month and the summer season, today we’re highlighting one the fruitier and more colorful sides of summer 2026 interior design trends. Colors inspired by summer sunsets - soft pinks, yellows and oranges - are popular this season. A design trend that is only gaining in popularity is wabi sabi, or lived-in design. I love how the different textures in this kitchen design add to that lived-in feel, and the light, earthy green and brown hues combined with the sunlight really bring inspiration from nature into the home.
