Grow an Abundant Future
People everywhere need to start growing their own groceries. More and more of us are turning back to the land in search of better nutrition, a healthier lifestyle, a greater sense of security, and ultimately true meaning in life. The earth in its great abundance provides all the food, medicine, shelter, and recreation we could ever need! Get yourself back to the land. You
will never regret it. As you start your journey toward greener living, you may come to find that the "simple life" isn't so simple. There are so many voices offering conflicting advice: the local extension office, garden bloggers, the organic movement, pinterest, your grandparents, neighbors and seemingly everyone else! Who's wrong? It's easy to get hopelessly overwhelmed. Don't lose hope! There is a beautiful food oasis in your future and I'm going to help you get there. Having grown the majority of my family's food for 4 years with no agricultural background, I have stumbled my way through idealistic methods of gardening and animal husbandry, working harder than necessary for often unfulfilling yields. In the quest to grow my own groceries, I've worked at other farms, witnessing successes and failures. I've devoured book after book on all subjects from various perspectives. I've reaped the disappointing rewards of neglect gardening and have simultaneously overburdened myself with crops that produced way more than I expected. It's been a sharp learning curve for me, but in the end I know what works and what doesn't. And that's what Vibrant Homesteads is here for. To help you avoid the countless pitfalls out there. To empower you to grow substantial food without wasting your time. To make sure you achieve success quickly... not burn out and quit. I don't have a "secret rule" for successful homesteading. I don't have some proprietary recipe for the perfect garden. But I know what it takes to feed a family, improve the soil, work a full-time job, and maintain inner peace all at the same time. I can help you have all that too!
