Training my new bookkeeping...he gets distracted easily.

Shout-out to my awesome supportive wife Melissa O'Reilly who sought out this awesome pop-up desk so I could do taxes more easily (when kids go to bed...which appears to be the hardest part)!!!

I need to give a shout out to Scott at Bluesaws.com who has literally pulled his hair out fighting and tweaking MS361/G366s. I was completely unaware that Farmertec had recently improved the crappy air filtration replacing the base and baffle with a sealed design and better filter... what OEM should have been!

Hit Scott up for quick US based parts.

$33 shipped with two filters, pretty seamless install don't need to mess with carb just two 10mm nuts

Another one bites the dust after 2 months. No people...all oils are NOT the same and you absolutely CANNOT run water cooled marine 2 stroke oil in your chainsaw that operates at twice the RPM!!!

I only recommend Echo Red Armor 40:1 ratio. That's 3.2oz mixed with 1gallon of premium non-ethanol. It's red, no confusion about whether it's mixed. And it's a squeeze bottle so there's no confusion about whether you're supposed to mix it with 2 gallons or 1. I have watched people pour a single 1 gallon bottle into a 2.3 gallon can... know where your gallon marks actually are from the pump and pump a couple gallons into your vehicle first to flush all the ethanol out of pump.

I will likely be raising my prices to reflect new kit saw sales with a 16oz squeeze bottle of Echo Red Armor. If you want to run something else after the 90 day warranty period knock yourself out. My head hurts rant over...

Rob's ported MS660 build.

This is cylinder #2 after I discovered that the magnetic base had shifted on my gauge and I took way too much off and piston was striking the cylinder. New DRO ordered as enough is enough!!!

Have a waiting list of repairs and new kit builds. I am now asking for $250 down on time consuming ported builds and making WCS barkbox muffler covers standard to avoid confusion and steady pricing/performance.

Another ported MS660 build. Getting them shinier and experimenting with different polishes!

A rare MS880 build. MS200T piston stacked on the MS880. You know it's torquey with EIGHT M5x28 fasteners holding it together and a wider crankshaft than the MS660!

Replaced (and actually had a spare!!!) damaged crankshaft seal. This is why I pressure and vacuum test each saw...looked good!

I think I figured out why we have no compression!New piston and rings not happy and seized vs springy

Ouch! Not a regular band-aid repair... MS310 blew the plug threads out. Guy wasn't sure what happened and when he choked it to restart she sparked and toasted the air filter. Could have been worse!

Tapped in an insert and he's back cutting till she blows up for the last time. Semi-scored piston we know we're on borrowed time...

I've been teaching my oldest two boys how to rebuild Stihl clamshell motors...they can strip them down themselves! The local family firewood army runs maybe a half dozen 021/025/MS250s for limbing. Great cheap saws to maintain... whole motor and carburetor is like $75.

This morning we swapped the motor out of a crushed donated parts MS250 into Grandpa's old 021. Much to our surprise we found the seals/piston/cylinder pristine and clean but the lower rod bearing had called it quits from years and years of cutting.

250123831 is the serial number if anyone knows how to find the manufacture date... couldn't find much helpful info.

Uncle Phil luckily shut down this MS250 before a leaky exhaust gasket #2 melted it down. Looks like it melted the plug out #1 and was smoking oil everywhere!

Just a few of the MS660 upgrades I do on kit builds. Fixing bar tensioners and stroking oilers for increased flow.

A customer recently asked what the stroke was...so I went and measured a modified one for good measure! Crunch a few numbers and whatya know its pumping debatably 37% more (I'm not a mechanical engineer...fluid viscosity, temperature, etc etc). 1.42mm stroke vs Stihl's 0.9mm stroke and more than the 1.15mm high output pricey upgrade.

Last time I really watched it it was using a tank of oil faster than a tank of fuel... adjuster still works. Easy solution to running out of oil is to not fill your fuel fully. More breaks and can talk lots of smack that you're working harder than everyone else!
