Today isn’t about cookouts, long weekends, or sales.

It’s about remembering the men and women who laid down their lives so the rest of us could live in freedom.

They left behind families, dreams, and futures they would never get to see — all so America could keep moving forward. Most of us will never fully understand that sacrifice, but we benefit from it every single day.

So today, we pause with gratitude and respect for those who never made it home.

And to the families carrying the weight of that loss every day, we thank you. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten.
