🚧POND REHABILITATION UNDERWAY🚧

This project is a good example of why there’s a big difference between simply digging around a pond and actually reworking one correctly.

A previous contractor attempted to clean this pond by working around the banks and removing only the muck they could reach. Unfortunately, that left behind an uneven bottom, poorly shaped banks, and several areas that were never properly cleaned or graded.

With the current drought dropping the water level, those problem areas became completely exposed giving us the opportunity to come in and correct the pond the right way.

We’re reshaping the banks, cleaning up the remaining material, correcting the previous excavation, and getting the entire pond turnkey and ready to catch every shower Mother Nature blesses it with.

When we’re finished, the goal isn’t just for it to look better. Its purpose is to function better, hold water properly, and be something the property owner can enjoy for years to come.

A job like this isn’t just about how much dirt can be pushed, it’s about diverting water and making it go where it needs to go.

The main purpose of this project was to correct the drainage across the property. Water naturally enters the property from the north and runs south, so we reshaped and graded the area to properly control that flow and divert the water away from areas where it would create long term effects.

A lot of material was moved, but every cut, slope, and grade had one purpose, and the purpose was to create a path for runoff to run and create a long-term drainage solution instead of fighting the same problem every time rain arrived.

PS: There was a small pond along the fence line that had been dry for quite some time, but bouncing between jobs I couldn't make it over quick enough to get a true before picture before my father had backfilled it in just a couple hours. Wouldn't have even known it was there.

To some, it's just an ol dusty cab. Just a job perhaps. But when that door shuts and the engine roars, the noise in your head gets louder than the machine itself.

In that seat, you think about the risks you’ve taken, the goals you’re chasing, the clients who count on you, the family depending on you, and the future you’re working to build. Some days it’s pressure. Some days it’s gratitude. Most days, it’s both.

Today isn’t about cookouts, long weekends, or sales.

It’s about remembering the men and women who laid down their lives so the rest of us could live in freedom.

They left behind families, dreams, and futures they would never get to see — all so America could keep moving forward. Most of us will never fully understand that sacrifice, but we benefit from it every single day.
