🦆🐣 Incubation season is officially underway, and I couldn't be more excited! 🐣🦆
This is honestly one of my favorite times of the year. There’s something so rewarding about setting eggs, watching them develop, and finally seeing those little beaks break through the shell after weeks of waiting.
This season, I'm focusing on growing my flock of Cayuga ducks while also working toward improving the quality and darkness of their egg color. Cayugas are known for laying some of the most beautiful dark eggs, and I'm excited to continue developing that trait within my breeding program.
The best part? We already have 2 ducklings hatched and healthy, with 2 more eggs still working on making their entrance into the world! Every hatch feels like a small victory, and I find myself checking on them far more often than I probably should. 😂
I'm looking forward to seeing how these little ones grow and what they will contribute to the future of my Cayuga flock. Thank you to everyone who follows along on our journey and shares in the excitement of each hatch, milestone, and success.

🐣🦆 One of my favorite seasons of the year is finally here — incubation season! 🦆🐣
There’s just something magical about carefully collecting eggs, setting them in the incubator, and waiting for those tiny peeps to hatch. Every year brings new goals, and this season I'm especially excited because I'm focusing on growing my flock of beautiful Cayuga ducks.
Not only am I working on increasing my numbers, but I'm also concentrating on improving one of the most unique traits of the breed—the gorgeous dark egg color that Cayugas are known for. Watching each generation develop and seeing the progress toward darker, higher-quality eggs is one of the most rewarding parts of breeding.
The incubators are running, the eggs are developing, and I can't wait to see what this season brings! Whether you've been following our journey for years or you're new to our page, thank you for being here and sharing in the excitement with us. ❤️

After such a long wait, my shade projects are finally starting to come together and I’m beyond excited! 🤎🐇
One of my beautiful Himi Rex does just kindled 4 gorgeous babies — 2 Himis and 2 Sables! Seeing these colors finally popping up in the nest box makes all the patience, planning, and pairing choices feel so worth it.
I’ve been working toward improving and growing my shaded lines for quite a while now, so this litter is extra special to me. I can’t wait to watch these babies grow out and see how their color develops over the next several weeks.
Definitely one of those moments that reminds me why I love raising rabbits so much! 🫶✨

We’ve been super busy these past two days — woop woop for 4 does kindling! 🐰🥰 I’m beyond excited for these litters because this is our first time having babies again in over a year after the fire and not being able to live on the property. It honestly feels so good to slowly get back into the routine and life we love so much.

Today has been one of the busiest days yet because NWA is feeling like 98° with heavy humidity, and all us rabbit people know those temperatures are dangerous for a unprepared rabbitry. We’ve been rearranging fans, checking ventilation, and doing everything possible to keep the barn cool and safe for everyone.

One of the hardest parts of having an enclosed barn is managing airflow, circulation, and temperatures during the summer months, but we’re making it work and learning more every day. We’re so thankful to finally be getting back on track and can’t wait to share all these new babies with everyone! ❤️

Life has definitely been busy around here lately, but I’m excited to finally start becoming active on this page again and keeping everyone updated on our little farm life. ❤️

Ever since the house fire and moving back home in January, getting back into a normal routine has honestly been a struggle. Then we welcomed our sweet baby in March lol, so life has been a beautiful kind of chaos these past few months. 🐣👶🏼

But things are finally starting to settle down, and I’m so excited to get everything back on track and running the way it should again. We have our very first litters due within the next week, and I cannot wait to share them all with you! 🐰

Our incubators are also full right now with mostly Cayuga duck eggs and a few beautiful Copper Maran eggs as well. So we should have lots of exciting updates, babies, hatchings, and farm content coming soon. 🦆🥚

Thank you to everyone who has stayed here and continued supporting our homestead through all the ups and downs. We’re excited for this new season and everything ahead. 🤎

Im sorry Ive quiet ever since the house fire but were officially back home!!! And guess what?? We have our first baby(Ram) sheep of 2026. Mama did a great job 🥰.. Ekk how exciting 🥰 Lelanda Lopez

OMG yay!!! We're finally out of the baby ram streek and we have a baby ewe lamb 🥰. She's still wet and fresh as we just found her arriving to the property now. We just seperated her and mama from the herd so they can bond and all. I'm super excited!!! What a great day to be born 🥰

The wonders of being a farmer. I do apologize for being very quiet but we did have a house fire 6 weeks ago and life has been very hectic. But we've been making things happen even if hard or complicated. So our updates on our sheep's is another ewe had twins!!! We thought the lamb ram escaped his enclosure when we found this baby with the others. So we grabbed it and once we saw the wet umbilical cord area we knew it was a new born. So we went to the enclosure to put mama and baby up to find another white lamb. Again thinking it was the 2 week old lamb but nope. God blessed us with again another set of twins but this time they're both rams. Mama has the biggest utters full of milk so I have no doubt that these babies will do great. She will be sharing a enclosure with the other ewe who had twins. Sadly th3 black twin did pass away. It was a super freezing day and she found a hole to escape out of and was left over night sadly. We found her the next evening when we went to do our rounds on the farm. We tried to save her but she passed in our arms 20 minutes later. So now this makes us with 4 lamb rams lol. We're definitely being blessed with these rams yall. We're definitely happy with everything even in consideration of the conditions.
