It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later. Or in this case… see you on our other account. (KOENIG Building + Restoration)
When we started this account 2 years ago, I never imagined it would grow this large and be as well received as it has been. I initially started it to get the word out about the strong history of the Nall family and the brothers who were such a large part of early Northeast Johnson County, Kansas. Having grown up on the street their homes were built on, and now watching my children do the same, I feel a kinship with the land and the Nall brothers.
I have also loved learning about the other “farmhouse” Instagram accounts out there and have been opened to a world of existing victorian farm homes, and rural life that this city girl knew little about.
I’m so honored to be able to share our completed labor of love and all the time, decisions, and effort that went into this home. A copy of the original home remains hanging in my home office as a reminder of our greatest and most treasured project yet. However, while I’ve loved this project and account, we are now parents to four children and an ever growing business where all of our efforts now reside. With the sale of this home last year, and numerous exciting new projects to come, it is bittersweet that I bid you adieu.
