Day 2- this was a solo day on this shower remodel. I was able to set the grab bar blocking, add blocking to the left side for the shower door, moved the vanity outlet over a few inches to be out of the shower area, removed the old shower light/ added 2 new led recessed lights, dug out the drain to relocate it to the proper spot, capped the old shower drain, backfilled/poured concrete to fill in the drain areas, installed the drywall/cornerbead, and got most of the rough shower walls installed.

Day 1- before pic, after protecting the entire route to the exit door, and after the first day of work on this project.

It was a long day, but my son, and I, did a ton of floor/wall protection, demolished the old 3x3 shower and whirlpool bath tub, cut out drywall, framed a new shower side wall, framed the opening for the centered niche, framed the bench seat/curb, deleted the old shower valve location/plumbed in the new valve/heads, capped the old tub water supply lines, and rerouted the old tub outlet to be a normal use outlet.

We are trying to get as much done on this shower, while the homeowner is on vacation. It won’t be done, but we are at least going to get past the dirty stage!

Before & afters of a single cabinet that I added today at the Dockins family kitchen.

I remodeled this kitchen about a year, or so, ago. At that point they didn’t want this upper cabinet, but then their needs changed.

I was happy to be able to complete this for them!

Day 18- we brought in/installed some of the appliances (the massive 48” range isn’t hooked up yet, and is on a dolly so it can be moved in and out), got the trash roll-out installed, did more trim work to the cabinets, detailed the cabinets, and cleaned out the cabinets, inside & outside.

I was also able to add an exterior GFCI outlet.

We will be on a brief delay on this project while the counters are fabricated, but this family does have partial usage of their kitchen, and they are now allowed to start moving their items back into the cabinets!

Days 16&17- we were able to assemble/install the pantry roll-outs, install all of the cabinet handles, cut in/install outlets on the sides of 2 cabinets, connected to existing/installed new flooring, and the countertop templates were taken!

Days 14&15- my son, and I, got rocking on getting the cabinets near finished!

Shelves in, drawers assembled/installed, doors on, crown/some other trim done, rough tops on, & the sink cut in!

This kitchen is coming together, looking amazing, and is ready for counters (of course there will be somewhat of a delay for counter fabrication).

I am so excited about this transformation for the Yi family!!!

Days 12&13- all of the cabinet boxes have been assembled & installed!

My son has been helping me for 1/2 days each day, as he has had school to get to. While he was there, we assembled cabinets together. When he left, I installed them solo. It worked out great!

So much more to do on the cabinets/accessories, but this has been a great week so far!

Day 10- my son, and I, rented a U-Haul (because of the rain), made the trek down to phoenix to pickup the cabinets (I also had to take care of a tire deal while down there), and got back to the Yi’s house to drop the cabinets off.

Next week is when the real changes happen to this kitchen!😃

Days 7-9- all 3 solo days, where I finished mudding up the patches/textured them/primed them, painted the entire area, installed all of the recessed light trims, reinstalled the ceiling fan, installed all of the outlets/switches, and completed the automatic doggy door installation (the doggy door was a major pain, but it’s super cool!)
