19 Angels Among Us Keeping the memory of our 19 fallen Granite Mountain Hotshots alive in our hearts through the drawings and work of Jennifer Winters-Ashcraft

In this journey, I've learned so far that these men were not just expert Hotshot Wildland Firefighters, they were great honorable men; sons, brothers, husbands, uncles, good friends and outstanding citizens in our community. They all had something special to offer, distinctive qualities and personalities traits that made them who they were and part of an incredible team. While painting, so many pe

ople from Prescott and nationwide shared their hearts and stories with me on how these amazing men touched and changed their lives by being such good role models in the community. I will never forget the young man who said "If it weren't for Jesse Steed and Eric Marsh, I would not be here alive today...those men saved my life, they were my role models and what I needed in my life at the time to save myself". We shed tears together. This is how much these men were loved and honored. I could write a book of all the amazing stories shared with me

While painting this mural, Prescott Fire Dept Station 1-B Shift stayed till I finished painting all the 19 names of the GMHS.
“We’re staying here till all the names of our brothers are done”.

Plaque to commemorate my 'Prescott 19' tribute & to honor Andrew & his 18 brothers just install ❤️ It is installed right on the flag's pole!
Today, as the artist, I am touched and proud to share this with you. Our community keeps doing and giving in honor of these brave men & souls.

This year the Tribute Hydrant was relocated and another higher base was built for it at Old Firehouse Plaza.
The flag stands proudly above it and it is illuminated at night.
A special Metal plaque was ordered containing the 19 names and the concrete will be painted in granite texture.
