Verify that a license means they have an ROC number...

Get referrals from legitimate customers not by those who are trying to promote shady characters

Do not trust sites like Yelp , BBB or YCCA or any others that promote businesses based on a membership

It is a fact that many companies post negative comments on their competitors sets to make them look bad.

The lowest price is not the best price. Be willing to wait for a proven contractor to do your work...it’s worth the wait

Always get three bids. It is not a daunting task if you keep the list the same for all bids. Adding and subtracting makes it confusing
