When you get a referral from someone for a contractor that they feel you should be using, you should ALWAYS listen to them! There is a reason that they're referring someone! They've had a bad experience with one person and someone else came along and fixed things and restored their faith in professionals! I've seen Many, many, many companies so far. Some better than others, and even some highly recommended companies that have some very intelligent techs working for them, but have Many other techs working that have no business in a truck, or running calls and will really mess you up, either because of laziness or because of lack of experience/ knowledge.
We received another call from another customer. New home, that he's been living in for just over a month. Called for the kitchen drain being stopped up already. Just being thorough, we crawled into the crawlspace and noticed a broken pipe/fitting that the previous plumber's stated was abandoned and no longer tied into his sewer, but the other end was. Removed some wet insulation and found that when they installed his tub, they never tied it into the plumbing under those house. Just dumped into the crawlspace. Crawl back to his 2nd bathroom to.make sure, and see that there was only an 1½" drain when a shower needs 2" and once again, it was never tied in either. Repiped the tub, the correct way, as well as ran a 2" drain back to the shower and tied it in as well as the 1½" drain next to it for the vanity/vent. In and out, and another HAPPY customer that has some other projects for us to address and wants to refer us as well. So again, keep in mind, when someone you know is referring a contractor, it's for a reason. They have experienced others and were happy when the person they are referring was finished.
