The inestimable dung beetle. There are approximately 20 native species in NJ. They are nature’s dung clean-up crew, both feeding on dung — by famously rolling it away in balls — and using dung as a medium for their eggs. Last pic is a soon-to-hatch egg. For reasons unknown, horse p**p is favored but sheep and deer p**p are not (based on my entirely unscientific observations).

Cow parsley and false cow parsley. Both are members of the carrot family — but that is where the similarity ends. False cow parsley is highly toxic (a member of the hemlock family) and an invasive from Europe. But here is the fun part: yet another example of the Fibonacci sequence in nature.

Goldenrod. I am usually not a big fan as they have a too big / too yellow show. But the recent re-introduction of the straight native, Solidago rigida, is interesting as it looks more naturalistic, plays well at the back of the border and is a pollinator magnet. 5’ tall but note that it prefers lean soil and will flop in rich sweet soil. But it is happy to clamber up a tuteur or similar garden structure sharing space with Sweet Autumn Clematis (first pic) — something few plants can do.
