Being a service-based company might make this value seem obvious, but for us, it goes far deeper than the work we provide. The actual service we deliver is transactional — but the way we serve is personal.

We want to serve each other as a team. We want to serve our clients by going above and beyond, doing more than what’s listed on a proposal. And we want to serve our community by giving back whenever we can (stay tuned for more on that later). We feel blessed with every opportunity to do so. We have spent a lot of time reflecting on what we want to be known for as a company, and we want to be known for doing good wherever and whenever we can.

Business isn’t just about money. Being in business allows us more opportunities to do good. Service is everything to us, and we want it at the core of everything we do.

Recently, we as owners sat down for a long, meaningful discussion about the values that matter most to us. Our company has always been driven by our principles, but we wanted to clearly define the core values that guide how we operate, lead and succeed.

Here’s the first one: OWNERSHIP.

Ownership isn’t just about admitting mistakes. It isn’t just accountability. It’s about taking responsibility for our roles, the quality of our work, how we show up for the team, and how we support each other. It is also about how we interact with our clients. It’s recognizing the impact we each have—individually and collectively—and choosing to own that impact every day.

When everyone takes ownership, the entire team rises. The work we do is better, our dedication increases, and we have more joy for what we do. This is the foundation of the culture we’re building, and we are grateful for the great team we have that embodies this so well!
