A couple of years ago Pleasant Grove passed a zoning ordinance to allow tiny homes as Auxiliary Dwelling Units that can be added to the property of existing homes (3 have been added to date.) They must be secured to a permanent foundation (tires removed) and attached to city water, power and sewer. We are burning the midnight oil getting ready for the open house today. This is the sealed Flex-Coat roof that is being applied. It will be an exciting day. Thank you for your comments and questions. Some have asked about the cost. This is a completely off-grid system that is designed to power lights, refrigerator, water pump and electrical outlets. It include 4 roof mount solar panels and the Humless generator. The retail is usually between $12 and $14 K with equipment donations and dealer assistance we are getting it for half price. Please help this Veteran get a new start in life. He is living in a deteriorating camper that won't make it through the winter. Habitat for Humanity, Utah County Veterans Services and the American Legion are all helping with the TinyHouse build. The last unfunded part of the project is this Solar unit.
