When erosion threatens operations, we build lasting solutions. 🌊

Williams Construction excavated and regraded a wash-out area at Ergon Asphalt Partners in Muskogee, reinforcing the site against future erosion. Our team installed filter fabric and placed large stone riprap to stabilize the slope and prevent storm water runoff from entering the adjacent navigation channel.

This repair work helps protect the surrounding environment and maintains long-term site safety.

What makes a project “critical”? This.

🚧 Hanging steel on an active hydroelectric dam
🚧 Using scuba divers to anchor columns along the 800-foot work platform

The Kerr Dam Stabilization Project demanded precision, innovation, and grit. Our team constructed a rock quay down to the river for stable access, installed a structural steel platform spanning the face of the dam, and provided crane services throughout—executed with specialized safety protocols from start to finish.

Our crew delivered a TIG-heavy piping installation — Sch 10 stainless from 2” to 16” — powering a new drum filter process that boosts production capacity and keeps contaminants out of the recycle pulping stream. Multiple tie-ins, precision welding, and teamwork made it happen.

Remember the old saying?….”Time flies when you’re having fun!”….That’s what 2022 feels like to Williams Construction President, Mike McGehee.

The “fun” part is that as 2022 progressed, we saw a substantial increase in bidding opportunities, along with the procurement of substantial contracts with both new and existing clients throughout the year, along with opportunities pushing into 2023 as well.
