We asked him: What should homeowners actually ask before hiring a garage door company?

Here’s what he said:
🔧 Ask what brand they primarily carry- if you have your heart set on a specific brand like Raynor Garage Doors , finding an authorized dealer could mean better pricing and product knowledge.
🔧 Ask how long they’ve been in business- longevity says a lot about a company’s reputation and reliability. 🔧 Ask about experience level- not just the company, but the techs showing up at your door.

As Ryan put it, experience goes a long way in this industry. And if someone with 20+ years under their belt is still picking up something new every day, that’s exactly the kind of person you want working on your home.

Tech Tuesday 🔧 Repair vs. Replace: How Do You Know?

This week’s question: When is it better to replace your garage door instead of repairing it?
Our District Manager, Ryan, breaks down the factors that go into this decision:
Age of the Door- Older doors may be harder to find matching parts for, and repeated repairs can start to cost more than a full replacement over time.
Condition of the Door- If damage is widespread, repair may not be the most practical option (more on this below).
Aesthetics & Home Value- Sometimes it’s not about whether the door can be repaired, it’s about wanting a fresh look. Replacing your garage door is one of the simplest ways to update your home’s curb appeal and can even boost resale value.
The Rule of Thumb: If more than half the door is damaged, it’s usually more cost-effective to replace the entire door rather than repair individual sections. Patching multiple damaged panels can sometimes cost close to (or more than) a full replacement, without giving you a uniform, like-new result.
