My name is Jason Muckey Jr., owner and General Contractor for JM Home Construction, LLC. I am a former Corrections Officer that found their way into the home building and renovations field after moving to Pulaski, NY in 2017. For 4 years I was a carpenter for a small company that built high end homes. This led me to honing in on my specialty of finish work and ultimately opening up my business in

This full addition is officially complete. What was once a porch with broken screens is now a beautiful, functional living space featuring a raised ceiling, natural light pouring in through multiple windows, warm pine tongue-and-groove finishes, and an 8-foot sliding glass door that opens seamlessly onto a brand new Fiberon deck.

More space, more light, and a whole new way for this family to enjoy their home, inside and out.

We were excited to announce that JM Home Construction hired a new employee this week.

Unfortunately, it didn’t quite work out.
On his very first day, all he did was stand around… no tools, no cleanup, no productivity whatsoever. We had to let him go.

BUT, this “termination” comes with a much bigger purpose.

This Yeti is now back out in the community doing what he actually does best, raising awareness for pediatric cancer and supporting 8 year old Hunter and his upcoming benefit, Carnival for a Cause.

If you happen to “hire” him next, here’s your job:

Sometimes the job is more than just building, it’s about showing up when someone truly needs help.

This winter we got a call from an older gentleman who had been left in a tough spot after a previous contractor walked away, leaving his deck unfinished… no roof, fully exposed. Every snowfall meant he was out there shoveling just to get in and out of his own home, something that just wasn’t sustainable.

So, we stepped in, through the frigid temps and snow, and got to work building a proper porch roof to give him the protection he originally asked for.

This project was for a continued returning customer, someone we’ve had the opportunity to complete multiple projects for over time. Relationships like this are what it’s all about. The trust that’s built, job after job, comes from being an honorable business that takes pride in the work we do. We believe in doing things the right way, every time.

This kitchen was a full start-to-finish transformation. From new flooring and cabinets to fresh drywall, recessed lighting, and a clean tiled backsplash to bring it all together. We also updated the space by adding in a new sliding glass door to bring in more natural light.
