Someone had this great Cuban Laurel growing in a pot in their yard. Hard chopped, repotted into a large nursery pot, and now we wait!

About six weeks ago we hard chopped this Ficus benjamina forest pre-bonsai. We gave it a little extra room because of how these trees can be, but it has pushed tons of new growth with very little dieback. Better than we had hoped for! Hard chops are tough, but so worth it when the tree responds positively!

🐇🌿 Just a little rabbit hopping through Wonderland… no idea where he’s headed, but apparently our patio garden is part of the adventure. ✨

After a hard defoliation and pruning, our Ficus benghalensis, known to us simply as “B,” is bouncing back stronger than ever! Next step is to carve out the rotting dead wood from the original trunk to form a hollow. Stay tuned!

POV: You spend all this time building your plant collection and Florida said… absolutely not. 🌪️🪴😂

Today’s storm knocked over pots, tossed plants around, and generally chose violence against the entire collection. 😭🌿

Tomorrow’s agenda: assess the casualties, pick everybody back up, and pretend this never happened. 😂
