Sometimes ideas come quick and sometimes you have to dig them up deep below. Working through these designs requires virtually living in the space, understanding the client's requests, analyzing elevations, researching jurisdictional guidelines and trying to predict the future of how the space will evolve. It's a tangled process full of crumbled up trace paper and waking up in the middle of the night with new ideas.

Everyone loves options. We often create a number of schematic options to fully examine the site's potential and to help reveal different design opportunities. The design process can sometimes be an intimidating task for new clients, but we help shepherd them along to efficiently polish visions into specific ideas and eventually into reality. Each client comes to us with their own style that we customize a planting palette around and style specifically for the site conditions. For this project, we considered details such as porch roofing, trim, railings, outdoor kitchens, drainage, grading, layout, plantings and lighting. It’s all in the details!
