Mantle build wrapped up, ready for delivery & install! Made from beautiful rift cut white oak and fully mitered assembly, this isn’t your typical mantle. This mantle measures 62” tall x 79” wide. Larger than my work bench and fully mitered, it definitely posed a few challenges. But when the final sand is done and you cast your gaze on the completed project, any memory of the challenges quickly fade.

Sanding for days! (Ok, hours, it was only hours not days). Before all the sanding I did some final adjustments and prep and then started to apply the finish to the table base.

Busy shop day. Cut, chamfered and did a dry-layout for this next table top w matching bench. Also, Wes’ tool box to sofa table or entry table is coming along very well. A few more coats of poly were applied and the hairpin legs attached. He just has to finish the inside and re-attach the hardware.

“Carcass” of a lift top coffee table. Installed the hinge hardware for the top. Added some adjustable bumpers (ok, so they are actually “adjustable feet - go with it & humor me) for a soft close of the top. Next is applying the exterior cladding and lower shelf.
