Great unit ! Install a lot of them ❤️
Three things every DIY bathroom needs, and the one that makes it all possible.
Below the sewer line. Too far from the drain. In a basement, garage, or converted closet. If you're the kind of person who'd rather tackle this project yourself than call a contractor, here's what actually matters before you start:
1. Location: Pick the spot that fits how you live, not just where it's easiest to hook into existing plumbing.
2. Installation: No slab to break. Above-floor plumbing systems pump wastewater through small discharge piping to your existing drain line, so there's no jackhammer required.
3. The right system: A half bath and a full bath need different setups. The Sanicompact is an all-in-one toilet + macerator, ideal for a tight DIY project in a closet or basement corner. The Saniaccess 3 handles a full bathroom (toilet, sink, shower, tub) when you're below the sewer line or far from the main drain.
The most important factor? Know your limits. Even the most capable DIYer should double-check local plumbing codes, pumping distances, and vent requirements before installing, and lean on Saniflo's technical resources when you get stuck.
Do it yourself, just do it right.
