💧 Water bill creeping up? June heat is slab leak season in North Texas - and this month, the inspection that finds it is free.

When DFW's clay soil dries and shifts in the summer heat, pipes under slab foundations and pier and beam homes crack, separate, and leak where you can't see them. The first warning sign is usually a water bill that jumps with no change in usage.

All June, Military Plumbing is offering a free leak detection for homes across DFW and Northeast Texas - slab and pier and beam leaks included. A licensed plumber inspects your home using Leaktronics-certified electronic leak detection, tells you straight what we find, and puts any recommended repair in writing before a single thing is touched. No leak found? You still pay nothing. That's the point.

Military Plumbing is looking for an organized, responsive On-Call Customer Service Representative to join our Quinlan team.

📋 The Role:
You'll handle online message requests, lead platform inquiries, and customer emails for after-hours plumbing service requests. (Don't worry - our answering service handles incoming phone calls.)

✅ Must Have:
ServiceTitan experience
Basic plumbing knowledge

🗓️ Schedule:
Friday: In office 12pm–5pm, then remote 5pm–10pm
Saturday: Remote 7:30am–10:00pm
Sunday: Remote 7:30am–10:00pm
Monday: In office 7:30am–1:30pm
Off Tuesday–Thursday 🙌

💻 Remote hours = being available to respond to submissions as they come in throughout the day.

Texas, it’s about to get colder than a well-digger’s belt buckle this weekend. With ice in the forecast, here’s your quick Military Plumbing freeze-prep checklist so your pipes don’t go full drama queen at 2:00am:

✅ Cover them outdoor spigots (hose bibs) - $5 covers beat a $5,000 leak
✅ Unhook and drain hoses - leaving one on is basically gifting your pipes an ice pack
✅ Wrap exposed pipes in the garage/attic/crawlspace - foam sleeves = cheap armor
✅ Open sink cabinets on exterior walls - let that warm air mosey on in
✅ Drip a faucet (steady drip, not Niagara) - especially the farthest one from where water comes in
✅ Keep the heat on - turning the thermostat down “to save money” can get expensive real quick
✅ Know your main shutoff valve - find it now, not during the “indoor waterfall” moment

If you’ve had frozen pipes before, don’t tempt fate again. If something starts acting up, Military Plumbing is ready to roll.
