It never ceases to amaze us how much nesting material starlings can pack into a structure.
Whether it’s a dryer vent, bathroom vent, soffit, chimney chase, or wall void, these birds seem to find a way to fill every available inch with grass, twigs, leaves, feathers, and debris.
What starts as a small nest can quickly turn into a large blockage, creating problems such as:
• Restricted airflow
• Dryer and bathroom vent malfunctions
• Increased fire hazards
• Odors from nesting material and droppings
• Bird mites and other parasites
If you’re hearing chirping, scratching, or increased activity around your vents, there’s a good chance starlings have already started moving in.
