🍉 Clemmons stayed cool by making watermelon shaved ice, celebrated the Fourth of July and explored restaurant careers during a visit to a local Mexican restaurant.

🐄 Lindley Greensboro joined the fun of Chick-fil-A Cow Appreciation Day with a creative Dress Like a Cow celebration.

🎤 Wilmington hosted a participant-led, person-centered talent show featuring singing, dancing, hobby videos, personal collections and participant-owned small businesses.

We’re proud to share that Amivie has been awarded the opportunity to provide Companion Services through the City of Norfolk Government Department of Human Services.

Through this initiative, Companion Services will support adults age 60 and older, as well as adults who need assistance as part of home-based care. The goal is to help individuals remain as independent as possible in their own homes and communities while strengthening the support systems around them.

We’re honored to partner with the City of Norfolk and look forward to providing compassionate, person-centered support to residents who need it.

A confident transition begins with the right support. 💙

As summer winds down, changes in schedules and routines can take some adjustment. In Amivie’s Day Support Programs, our teams use person-centered strategies to help participants feel prepared, comfortable and confident throughout the day.

Depending on each person’s preferences and goals, that may include:

📆 Clear and consistent routines
💬 Advance notice when plans are changing
✅ Activities broken into manageable steps
🤝 Encouragement and support along the way
✨ Opportunities to make choices and build independence

There is no one-size-fits-all approach. By getting to know each person and what works best for them, our teams help create days filled with learning, creativity and meaningful connection.

A full life doesn’t become any less personal with age.

It’s still shaped by favorite routines, meaningful relationships, personal choices and the comfort of feeling at home.

On National Senior Citizens Day, we’re celebrating the seniors whose experiences, wisdom and individuality enrich our families and communities—and recognizing the importance of care that honors the whole person.

At Amivie, we believe every person deserves to feel heard, respected and connected to what matters most to them.

To the seniors we have the privilege of knowing and supporting: we celebrate you today and every day.
