The ideal candidate for this position will be experienced in segmental retaining wall installation who is proficient in all phases of retaining wall construction. The majority of our work load is in the Raleigh/Durham area, but may be required to to travel out of town occasionally.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

* Must possess a valid North Carolina driver’s license and United States Social Security number.

* Must have at least 1 years’ experience of working in a fast-paced commercial retaining wall installation environment or site development.

* Perform highly physical work on a daily basis and must be able to consistently lift 60lbs or more.

* Extensive knowledge of equipment, tools and vehicles, but not limited to i.e.; skid steer, Excavator, compaction equipment, laser levels and concrete cutting equipment etc.

Office view for the next couple weeks!

Thankfully we were able to get this project finished prior to all of the rain. The initial purpose of this project was to resolve some drainage issues in the backyard. We ended up adding the retaining wall across the back of the property to help create more useable lawn area. Additionally, we relocated/constructed the crawlspace access door so we could install a larger patio (using , large 750mm x 500mm Para slab pavers), piped off all gutter downspouts, installed a French drain system and multiple catch basins (from ) to help redirect the surface water to the front of the property. We finished the lawn off with fresh fescue sod (from Carver Bros Turf).

Hardscapes/General Labor Crew Member

The ideal candidate will be a team player, have a “can-do” attitude and is willing to learn specific industry standard, methods and techniques of installation this includes (but, is not limited to) installations of unit paving, retaining walls, concrete, irrigation, fencing, drainage and plant materials.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

* Excellent customer service skills while performing and delegating job duties is required.

* Perform highly physical work on a daily basis and must be able to consistently lift 40lbs or more.

* Due to the wide variety of projects our facility undertakes, versatility, adaptability and the ability to successfully improvise are mandatory qualities for this position.

* Must have some experience and a basic working-knowledge and understanding of working with hand and power tools, in the landscaping industry. Skills in general construction, Etc. is a plus.

* Must have a valid and current NC driver's license.

* A working knowledge of the English language is required, and persons with bilingual skills (Spanish) will be welcomed.

This is the second patio in Canterbury subdivision in Durham, NC we’ve installed. We used Lafitt paver in Hatteras color as the field with Holland Stone in Slate color as the Border, installed recessed lights in the pavers to give it a nice finish at night and a seat wall around the existing concrete patio.
