We're excited to welcome Travis Ridgway to this summer, where he's supporting our Environmental team.
A University of Colorado Boulder student studying Environmental Studies, Travis has always had an appreciation for the environment and was looking for an opportunity to explore how his interests could translate into a career. When he learned about PAR West's Environmental division, he saw the chance to gain real-world experience while helping support critical infrastructure projects.
During his internship, Travis is gaining hands-on experience in the field, learning how environmental work supports construction operations, and seeing firsthand how teams collaborate to accomplish a common goal.
We're proud to have Travis on the team and look forward to supporting his growth throughout the internship program.

Westminster Substation Progress
PAR West's Substation Group successfully completed the installation of a new 230kV transformer at the Westminster Substation.
The size of the crane required for the lift highlights the scale of equipment and planning involved in substation construction.

As we spend time with family and friends and enjoy the long weekend, let’s also take a moment to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.
We thank and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy every day.
Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day

Behind every hardworking crew is someone who helped build that foundation long before the job site did. This Mother’s Day, we recognize the moms raising strong, resilient, hardworking people, and the moms out here in the industry leading, building, supporting crews, and helping keep this work moving every day.
Thank you for everything you do at home and in the field.
Happy Mother’s Day from PAR West.

Construction Safety Week may be wrapping up, but the message carries into every job, every crew, and every decision made in the field.
Going home safe doesn’t just happen. It comes from crews that slow down, recognize hazards, respond the right way, respect the plan, and stay committed to protecting each other every step of the day.
Appreciate everyone who took the time this week to share their experience, perspective, and commitment to keeping our crews safe.

Construction Safety Week Day Four focuses on Respect:
Leslie Gomez, Field Safety Representative
“Respect for Safety starts with a proper tailboard and communication. Setting the tone at the beginning of the day. It’s identifying the specific hazards for that job and that day, making sure the right controls are in place, and verifying them before work continues. Respect for each other and the plan means speaking up when something’s off, following the controls in place, and continuing to monitor the work as conditions change throughout the day.”
Strong crews respect the plan, respect each other, and stay engaged in the work from start to finish.

Construction Safety Week Day Three focuses on Fall Prevention
Daniel Ludwig, Field Safety Representative
“The habit of discipline around fall protection is the 100% focus on tie-off, proper positioning, no shortcuts and bi-annual fall protection inspections. We slow down, check our setup before putting on and before leaving the ground, and speak up if something’s off. You don’t end up going home safe—you choose it, one decision at a time.”
Tie off. Slow down. Check the setup. No shortcuts.
Strong crews don’t just react; they stay disciplined before their feet ever leave the ground.

Construction Safety Week Day Two focuses on Respond
Carlos Machuca, 30 years as a Field Safety Representative
“A strong response to a hazard identified within a crew is immediate, proactive, and collaborative, shifting from reacting to managing it through a planned, systematic approach.”
See it. Handle it. Control it.
Strong crews don’t just react; they manage the risk.

Construction Safety Week Day One focuses on Recognize, and in our world, that’s simple. You see something off, you don’t walk past it.
You stop it. You call it out. You fix it.
As our Field Safety Representative, Garet Morton, said "most hazards we catch aren’t anything big… until they are."
Trip hazards, damaged rigging, worn lines, small stuff that can turn fast if ignored. Responding in the moment is what keeps it small. That’s what safe crews do.
