Tips of the month from Gunner!
🌱Turf tip: With fall weather patterns starting, now is a good time to lower your mowing height to 2 1/2" - 3". Mowing frequency should increase also. Fall is the best time for seeding. This allows for the lawn to germinate and establish a root system before next summer. Also seeding greatly improves next season's lawn appearance.
🌳🌿 Tree/Shrub tip: Now is the time to start fall pruning. Removal of any dead limbs, shaping and thinning. It's also a great time to add plantings to the landscape. Dividing of perennials can start this month and it's a good time for Spring bulb plantings. Top dressing of mulch in landscape beds can also be completed.
🦗🐭🐀Pest tip: With the cooler temps, it's cricket season and they will be headed towards your house and garage! The mice follow the crickets so it's time to put out the traps and bait!

TIPS of the Month from Gunner!
🌱Turf tip: With the current weather conditions, my BIGGEST tip is WATER! Watering once a month for 45 min to 1 hour will keep the root system alive.
🌳🌿Tree/Shrub tips: Landscape needs WATER also! Place a hose at the base of the tree and set as a steady drip for 24 hrs. Shrubs/bedding plants need watering in the morning hours.

TIPS of the Month from Gunner!
🌱Turf tip: MOW frequently so you don’t have clumps of grass sitting on top. Mowing frequently and at the proper height will keep your turf healthy and looking it’s best.

🌳🌿Tree/Shrub tips: Clean up landscape beds of any leftover leaves and debris to prevent fungus on this year’s foliage. Now is good time for spring pruning (except spring blooming plants like Magnolia, Lilac, Forsythia and others) Also, irrigation systems should be started this month, check for leaks and set the timer.

🐜🕷Pest tip: Again, make sure to clean up leaves around the foundation of your house and especially any window wells. This will prevent ants from making their home around your home!
