Usually February in South Dakota one can only dream of playing a round of golf. Yesterday we did a complete setting of this seven foot tall rock for some amazing friends!

Each monument we create is thoughtfully crafted to reflect the individuality and spirit of those honored.

The first monument shows a custom shape with a beautiful image of a horse. The combination with classic elements of hearts and wild roses makes this a unique tribute.

Also pictured is a wing style memorial featuring shape-carved roses. The granite is American, Superior Black.

This very special memorial is made from Superiour Black, an American granite. The top pieces were polished by hand by the craftsman of West River Monument.

Just placed this special arrowhead memorial in Dakota Sunset granite. Was originally planning to have a simple pipe graphic but with a unique shape there should be more unique pipe. Crafted from granite by the carvers here at West River Monument.

It Is always such an honor to work here! Took a little bit longer to get the work done with a couple of special events taking place. A Lakota dancer and singer performed and then a very interesting program about our Anthem.

We were honored to receive MBNA's People's Choice Award! We are also super proud of our crew for investing their time to hone their skills in hand carving. Mark really added a touch of uniqueness with the sculpted feather!

We just wanted to take a moment to thank the families that currently have orders with us for memorials. We have had numerous setbacks in getting memorials completed and set. We appreciate those who have been compassionate and understanding as we navigate through these obstacles and look forward to getting back on track with production and setting as quickly as possible.
Our roof is no longer leaking and fixed. Our boom truck is at the mechanic awaiting parts and we are in the claims process of replacing the granite that was damaged when the motorist crashed into our building. It was a trifecta of chaos but we look forward to better days ahead and so appreciate the kindness from the families who have already dealt with their own upheaval of chaos & grief.
We wish you a reflective Memorial Day and thank you again for your understanding.
