Coming Soon: The Compass Preservation Barn! We broke ground today on a building that will provide production, storage, and parking space for Compass to add to what the house itself offers now. The house will still contain the "clean work" area (sash painting, glazing, etc), but the dusty, wood shop operations will soon be set up in the Barn. Thank you J-and-J Barns for your work on this new buiding!

Sometimes a simple paint job turns out to be a little something more...

When working on historic homes, what looks like peeling paint can hide decades of old insect damage. Bugs had their party inside these walls years ago, leaving behind hollowed-out, compromised timber long after they moved on.

At Compass Preservation LLC, we don't just slap a fresh coat of paint over rotten wood. We strip back the damaged boards and replace them with in-kind wood—giving this home another 100+ years of life, minus the uninvited pests.
