Preventing Injury at Home...

Check your hot water heater. Children and the elderly are more susceptible to burns from hot water. Make sure your hot water heater has the water at 120 degrees Fahrenheit or lower to best avoid unintentional burns.

Our Homeowners called upon us because they had a very specific problem. They had their bathroom remodel three months prior and the shower area was accumulating water.

Upon of initial inspection we could see that the shower area was installed wrong and that in order to fix their problem we would have to gut the bathroom down to the wall studs & main subfloor.

In order to comply with their accessibility needs we installed a Swanstone shower base, with a single threshold, a slide bar shower head, grab bars, a folding shower seat, a high rise toilet, pedestal sink and leveled out the floor for ease while maneuvering around in the room.

Once completed our Homeowners said we gave them what they were expecting the first time they had their bathroom remodeled and that was peace of mind!

Preventing Injury at Home...

Install grab bars in the shower. For anyone who is unsteady on their feet such as an elderly family member, a shower can be a very dangerous place. Installing grab bars could help prevent disaster should they slip and provide easier entry and exit of the showering area.

We were called upon to finish this basement. All the plaster on the walls was torn out, replaced with drywall and then painted. A new drop ceiling was installed. The stairs were redone with a stained and painted wood. New vinyl plank flooring was installed.

A full bath was added as well. It has tile flooring and marble walls in the shower area. A new vanity was installed as well as a toilet. New lighting was put in and an exhaust fan. In the end the homeowner is very happy with how their new basement.
