Lightening up the home office design here required some changes to this secretary desk/cabinet. Flip through for the dark and serious before photo, and the various stages from sand/clean/prime and paint, to the secret technique for a perfect antique rub-through. Benjamin Moore Spanish White was the perfect creamy color to coordinate with the other furniture.

Even a utilitarian back hallway with a laundry alcove and 4 doorways deserves some love! Awning stripes in pink (pearl finish) and white (eggshell finish) liven up this space, now it's bright and happy! There are more finishing touches to come. Painted stripes are always beautiful! Lots of measuring, marking, taping and painting but always SO worth it for the crisp finished look.

Fun project for the new in Ocean, NJ. Now open and SO delicious! I painted their other location last year. Here, I painted 3 yogurt cups above the toppings bar WHILE the sneeze guard was being installed! You can't tell from the photos but I added a sprinkle of glitter to each! Locals... I'll meet you there any time for a treat!

Every room in my client's 1940s home is dripping with glamour, and now the kitchen fits right in! The cabinets were painted white several years ago, along with a few other updates including a silver tin ceiling, new flooring, and champagne silver damask wallpaper. This year's evolution included creamy quartz countertops, small mother-of-pearl backsplash tiles, and my part- the most elegant update to the original cabinets! I used a fine layering of metallics in champagne gold, silver, and pearl, and I added pale gold to the handles as a soft contrast. The metallics reflect the light in multiple directions and now the kitchen shimmers from every angle!

If you've known me for awhile, you know that I have some very specific in-demand talents! I love these “forensics” projects! I spent a day on scaffolding yesterday for one of my clients, replicating a paint finish done 10 years ago by another artist. One section of the ceiling sustained water damage, was repaired, and needed to be repainted before the listing and open house this weekend! Here are some befores, durings and afters as I matched the other panels, and even replaced the missing wallpaper edges!
