Sharing a story that touches close to home from Mary Ann’s family: Tech Sgt. James Howie was identified and brought home after 80 years.
While we enjoy time with friends and family this holiday weekend, let us remember the reason we pause. and — those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

An Army Air Forces member who was killed 80 years ago during World War II has been identified and accounted for, and will be laid to rest in his Illinois hometown days after Memorial Day.

🛠️🚜👷‍♂️ ‼️ Join us for A Day in the Trades on October 28th - A program geared towards driving metro east students to fulfilling careers in skilled trades.

Skilled trade advocates from St. Clair, Monroe and Randolph counties are teaming up for the inagural event themed “From Blueprint to Built” where high schoolers across the tri county area travel to local suppliers, manufacturers and job sites for hands-on learning from local experts.

🚧🦺 A Day in the Trades is more than a career fair. With statistics nationwide indicating high demand and low supply for skilled trade roles, this program takes an active approach through designing curriculum for a successful experience in stages: prep, hands-on learning onsite, and follow-ups to cater future student engagements (job shadowing, internships, apprenticeships, etc.) narrowing interests and bridging the gap between high school graduate to entry level entrepreneurial trades worker.

🪏⚙️🧰 The ultimate outcome is to expose students to the bright and fulfilling lifestyle that trades can offer for their futures right here at home.
