Come cheer on the baseball athletes of Miracle League of Ellis County Saturday mornings at the Optimist Fields in Waxahachie. Games are at 10:00, 10:30, 11:00 and 12:00. They are an hour long. We are always in need of buddies.

Last night was such a fun time at the Glenn Heights County Line BBQ Cook-Off.

I had the honor of being one of the judges for the ribeye competition—and let me just say, that was a tough job. Everything was so good!

It was great getting to see so many familiar faces, local leaders, and the incredible team at the Red Oak Area Chamber of Commerce who worked so hard to make this event happen.

And highlight of the night… I even got a kiss from Sophie.
(Pretty sure the steak on my breath helped.)

The fun continues today from 12–4 PM at Heritage Park. Food trucks, music, games, and more—great way to spend time with the community.

Mark and I will be coaching a team again this season and continuing the family rivalry as we take on our son, Colton’s, team as part of the competitive league. We play at 10:30 each week and always welcome volunteers but the other teams that play at 10:00,11:00 and 12:00 also need buddies. Come share an hour with us. This Saturday, come out to Heritage Park for our Glenn Heights County Line Cookoff. This state-sanctioned BBQ Competition will have some of the best pitmasters from around the state.

While the competition begins on Friday evening, we will open it up to the public on Saturday starting at Noon. There will be food trucks, music, bounce house, games, and above all...the opportunity to judge some of this great BBQ!

Mark and I got to attend the Red Oak Area Chamber of Commerce’s Business Breakfast together this morning. Good food and great company. We love meeting others in the community and seeing some of our customers.
