🏡 Today, Gina Brown is bringing you her Monday Morning Construction Update from 130 Yvonne Street!
Last week was extremely productive! Sheetrock was installed throughout the entire home, the exterior brick, stone, and stucco work was completed, and the concrete was poured for the driveway and sidewalks.
This beautiful new construction home is coming together quickly! Stay tuned and follow along for the next update. ✨

Wow—this gorgeous home is almost complete! Last week, the team finalized the electrical work, completed the lighting installation, polished the floors, and addressed the remaining finishing touches.

The recent closure of the original Cantina Laredo in Addison marks the end of an era for North Texas. For forty-two years, since its opening in nineteen eighty-four, this Belt Line Road location was a culinary landmark, known for its vibrant atmosphere and delicious Tex-Mex. Founded by Gilbert Cuellar Junior, whose family legacy includes the famous El Chico chain, Cantina Laredo’s inspiration came from a border town cantina in Mexico.

This iconic spot was a favorite for generations, drawing crowds for its legendary fajitas and cocktails in a city renowned for its dense restaurant scene. Its closure on August second, two thousand twenty-six, due to an inability to reach a new lease agreement and rising rent making the location unprofitable, highlights the constant economic pressures faced by even the most beloved establishments. It’s a powerful reminder that even long-standing local favorites aren’t immune to market shifts.

While the original Addison location is gone, the Cantina Laredo brand continues with other Texas spots and out-of-state franchises. This story isn’t just about a restaurant; it reflects broader trends in commercial real estate and community development.
