This vaulted entry way is awesome but super annoying right now one ceiling spanning 2 levels and 3 rooms.
Skimmed the corners and joints after I removed the popcorn and replaced tape where settling created voids or cracks. Priming finally and texturing then painting and half my work is done at our house.

Imagine all the windows are bare wood like the first 2 pictures. We had to match the new windows and door to the existing trim. We taped and put down a plastic, sanded, stained, then clear coated the trim outside edges and inside so they last and hold up well. This is the first job my new helper completed with me and she did a great job.

Your average time for scraping a board and doing a decent job is atleast 5-10min each board for an average worker. You can see my time is about 20 seconds per board. Plus touching up with a hand held scraper about 30 seconds so a minute per board. I do it with experience (to know the angle otherwise you tear apart the wood), brute force, leverage, and endurance I have built up from doing this for 10 years. I choose to work this hard and save the homeowner in prep cost and make my money by going to another job ASAP. You worked hard for your money and I will work hard for you.

This is one of the most beautiful homes I have worked on. Hired by Braden construction out of Stillwater didn’t get to meet the homeowners on this one. Don’t have any before photos on this one It was a refresh of the same colors and they were faded and some new siding and shakes to replace rotting ones. I oil primed and painted new additions and painted the existing parts with 2 coats of emerald from sherwin Williams.

This is one of my favorite houses I have had the opportunity to paint. It is a brand new house but needed to be painted again because the touch up paint the siding came with didn’t match right. I taped and sprayed big sections to get the paint to look the same.
I power washed the decks to get the grey sun damaged fibers off then sanded the remianing ones as well as the old stain so I could get a uniform color. ( it’s a lot of work but if you don’t it will eventually look very uneven) I couldn’t use a chemical wash to get the top layer off on this deck becuase of all the nice metal railings , doors, windows and siding.
The home owner wanted a certain color so I used a latex based stain from Benjamin Moore put it on a board and wiped it off immediately.
If you’re like me and thought that the decorating and furniture looks really good you can get something similar I’d think, the homeowners have a store in Red Wing called The Market Home Design and Caverly Construction. The homeowners can build you a house just like this one and decorate it 😆.

Little pop corn ceiling removal and texture/paint ceiling. I did also paint the bathroom and master bedroom and I fixed it finished a lot of parts around the house for the owner who painted himself and got hurt. Forgot to get pictures of the rest but wanted to explain and show some smaller projects becuase a lot of mine are pretty big projects. I am a one man painting crew with some part time help, doing the bigger projects on my own can be a lot and I love having some smaller ones too.

I scraped the popcorn off this whole house, did knockdown and painted. I wrapped each beam like a Xmas present. I protected the whole house in plastic and got rid of the popcorn then I textured the ceilings. I painted all the ceilings white. I painted the walls in the living room and split entry stairs. The home owner painted the rest of the walls. Some contractors would want all the work of none. I try to be flexible and understand people may want to handle some things on their own.
