We've been waiting more than a year to create this post: Today, we received the building permit for the first concrete 3D printed fire rebuild home in Altadena, CA. LA County suffered major losses in the Eaton and the Palisades fires last year, and Emergent Construction has entered into contracts with several fire survivors. After many months of proving out our building methods and the technology, we are excited to finally get to work with the construction of this beautiful home designed by our amazing Architects, arc-studio.design.

Emergent Construction is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to manage the construction of a ~$20M building project in Redding, CA. The building is a 28,000SF 2-Story structure with the entire first level being concrete 3D printed.
Although concrete 3D printing experience is not needed, the ideal candidate should have 5+ years of experience in commercial building construction management.
This project is scheduled to break ground in December 2025 and will last approximately 18 months. The Superintendent position, however, is ready to be filled immediately. This position will require relocation to Redding, CA. Remote work is not an option.

I've been so focused on securing contracts, rebuilding a team (and a company), acquiring building permits, and planning for successful 3DCP ex*****on, that I almost forgot to thank God for the major milestone we achieved last night.
It's been two years... almost to the day, since I've printed layers for a customer. Two years of fear, anxiety, hope, and anticipation. Two years of planning, but not really knowing!
I'm thankful for my time with the former Emergent 3D. I'm thankful for those that stuck with me through an extremely difficult transition. And I'm thankful for the Phoenix that is Emergent Construction! From our management team, to our strategic business and labor partners, our architects and engineers, our customers that believe in me and my vision, and most of all, my wife! It's no exaggeration to say that I literally would not be here, celebrating our first real 3D printed layers without you! Thank you!
