THE HOME INSPECTION IS NOT JUST FOR HOME BUYERS!
The home inspection can be a valuable tool for any homeowner. As the market slows, buyers will use deferred maintenance as leverage to pay lower prices. Spending a few hundred now to know the current condition of what you're selling just might save you thousands later.

And, if you aren't planning to sell - you just might find something out about your house that you didn't know. Maybe there's dry rot or maybe there's an electrical defect. Catching problems earlier often results in lower repair costs later.

For those of you building houses. We also do construction progress inspections. Lenders often require this.

Off to beautiful Christmas Valley, OR to complete a Pest & Dry Rot inspection. These inspections look for wood destroying organisms like termites, carpenter ants, and powder post beetle activity. We also look for plumbing leaks and damage from water as well as other things that can damage structures.

Can be done as a stand-alone inspection or in combination with a whole house inspection.

This link has good advice and questions. Rimrock's answers:
1. All visible house components. (Crawlspace, attic, foundation, roof, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
2. Since 2015 and around 300 inspections completed.
3. We are trained and experienced in residential inspections as well as small commercial inspections.
4. Per Oregon law, we cannot perform work on houses we inspect for a period of one year.
5. Inspections will take 2-3 hours typically. I am thorough and have spent upwards of 5 hours on large homes or homes with lots of reportable conditions.
6. $300-500 is typical but can vary based on house size, additional outbuildings, added inspections, mileage, etc.. We also offer Pest & Dry Rot inspections that can be combined with the whole house inspections or as a stand alone inspection.
7. Comprehensive Home Inspector Pro generated report covering all visible & major components of a home.
8. We prefer to do the inspection alone and then walk-thru with the client at the end of the inspection.
9. We belong to these national and regional home inspection associations : InterNACHI (National), COAREI (Central Oregon), OREIA (Oregon). We urge you to check out any of them.
10. We are required by the State of Oregon to participate in continuing education and provide documentation every two years. Rest assured we at Rimrock Inpections go above and beyond the minimum requirements to provide value to our clients.
