It wasn't in the plan to have to save the first day of school today at Webb Middle School - but we were glad we could be there to help.

The toilets backed up and that's not something you can wait on so Tim got out there right away and got things flowing.

He even got to run into our daughter Mae in the halls on her first day of 7th grade - a win win for everyone!

It's that time of year again - First Day of School! Here's our 2026 first day of school crew!

Mae is a 7th grader, Mitch is a 4th year apprentice, Trenten is a 2nd year apprentice, Evan is a 2nd year apprentice and Willa is a 4th grader.

It's crazy how fast time flies and I feel this just as much with my kids as I do my plumbers. Some of my proudest moments have been witnessing these young men and the ones before them as they learn and grow and become incredible tradesman. Here's to another great year!

Forty-eight feet between the well and the house, and every one of them had to come open.

The call came in as no water. He had been watering the yard for an hour, and then there was nothing at the tap. So, the trench goes in. New Grundfos pump, new drop pipe, new wire, new pressure switch. The casing stands there in the open ground looking like it has been there forever, because it has. Then the hose runs clear and the yard gets put back.

Most of this job is work nobody will ever see again. That is the part we do the same way whether anyone is watching or not.

These bubbles are the difference between a sewer that works for forty years and one that does not.

When it comes to a sewer line, proper pitch is what keeps everything moving the way it should. For a 4-inch sewer line, 1/8 inch of fall per foot is the minimum — and getting it right can make the difference between a system that works for decades and one that causes problems down the road.

This is the plumbing that goes in before there is even a house.

Long before the walls go up, the drains and water lines have to be laid out and run right the first time, because the whole home rides on the pipe we bury and no one ever looks at it again. This underground rough-in is going in for a new build out toward the Dells. Get it right down here in the dirt, and the finished home upstairs just works, quietly, for decades.

That is the part of a house we care about most, the part you will never see.

Ever wonder what runs under the street you drive on every day? Here it is.

Infrastructure work is still going on 10th Street here in Reedsburg, and this is the part no one ever sees, the water and pipe running underground that a whole town quietly depends on. From up top, the street looks like any other street. Down here is where it has to be right, so that the water keeps moving and the road above it holds up for years. This is the good, hard work that happens below the surface, long after the cones come down and everyone drives on like nothing was ever there.
