We're Hiring!

MJD Excavating, Inc. is looking to add Foremen and Heavy Equipment Operators to our team! Both positions are full-time Monday-Friday, with possible overtime on Saturdays.

We are looking for knowledgeable, trustworthy individuals with the drive to become valuable members of our team. Our ideal candidates will have 5+ years' experience as a Foreman or Heavy Equipment Operator on excavation/construction job sites, have a valid and up-to-date 2A hoisting license and medical examiner's certificate, have a valid and up-to-date driver's license, and a reliable vehicle.

We are also looking to add a new Excavation/Construction Foreman to our team! We are a family and veteran-owned company based out of Rehoboth, MA, with over 30 years of experience in both commercial and residential excavation.

As a Foreman at MJD, you will work on various residential and commercial job sites throughout the stages of construction. Our Foremen work Monday-Friday, with possible overtime on Saturdays.

We are looking for a knowledgeable, trustworthy individual with the drive to become a valuable member of our team. Our ideal candidate with have 5+ years' experience as a Foreman on excavation/construction sites, a valid and up-to-date hoisting license, a valid and up-to-date driver's license, and a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities/Skills/Qualifications:
- Ability to safely operate excavators, loaders, bulldozers, skid steers, backhoes, etc.
- Ability to read/interpret site plans.
- Ability to supervise & coordinate job site activities.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Good, working knowledge of construction tools/equipment.
- Follow safety procedures/protocols.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Work alongside others to complete daily tasks.
- Troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
- Ability to assist work to others; ability to properly train new workers.
- Basic record-keeping skills.
- Basic machine/equipment maintenance.
- Previous experience required.
- Physical stamina required (i.e. ability to withstand heat, cold; ability to lift heavy objects).
- Highschool diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong work ethic.

Job Type:

- Based on experience

Expected hours:
- No less than 40 per week
