2020 storm damage

As the 2020 derecho storm repairs and clean up continue every day I want to say Thank You to all the customers that reached out to J Boldt electric. I know there are still some on the list yet and we’ll get to them the best we can. These last 12 days have been rather busy, exhausting, and thankful! As there has been count less hours and a lot of early mornings and late nights, time unspent with loved ones and wear on the body and mind!

I’m thankful for the kindness and patience of the local communities and small town Iowa as there were a lot of people without power for quite some time and still some without power yet. There are many companies out here working hard to help customers around 15 hrs a day and not once was I disappointed by actions of people in my area! That makes our jobs that much more enjoyable! As I know we could have all easily worked 8 hrs a day and gone home to family, but chose to work sunup to sundown to help out with this disaster. I’ll be the first to say it wasn’t easy or what I expected!
As we move forward, please be patient as we are now seeing a shortage in materials for the service repairs. We will continue to do our best to get jobs done.

Shout out to all the utility companies working the hardest during this! Your work won’t be unnoticed!!!

Attn Gladbrook residents:
As the Alliant Energy generators are getting hooked up for the town... if you didn’t shut off your main, the feed may blow your personal generators.

Yet another reason to shut off the main when running a generator.
