A lot of people just start a business but this business came out of a legacy which started with my Dad {Vernon M Hamby} some 60 years ago. The advantage of this is the time, traditions, experience, lessons learned and the awareness of upholding my dads name, and having in the back of my mind, what would dad expect out of me has sustained me all these years. So the traditions and the over time expe

rience has left a lasting impression on me still until this day. Dad instilled in us the importance of going the extra mile to satisfy a customer even if we thought it was too much. Dad would develop with people a connection that was more than just a work relationship. I came to learn it was about his integrity, work ethic and value system that caused people to embrace his approach to business. He was able to make a people connection that extended beyond just business. Many lessons were learned through watching dad. Dad would not take any payment for a job until the job was complete and the customer was completely satisfied, and today we still honor that same commitment. He would tell us when you clean up a job leave it the way you would want someone to leave your yard, so we did understand on every job what was expected of us.
