From the bustling post-war era of the 1950s to the post-Covid era of the 2020s, each of these projects has played a crucial role in shaping who we are today and we are proud to reflect on our journey.

In today's series, you'll learn about our landmark work during the 1950s Boom Era: NY State Campus, Westgate Plaza and Albany Hospital.

Our Communications Division Leader, Ian Ippolito, recently completed a weeklong training at the BICSI headquarters in Tampa, FL learning about best practices for telecommunications distribution design and emerging trends in IT infrastructure.

He's now one step closer to earning his RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification, marking mastery in design and telecom distribution systems. Well done, Ian!

Since our foundation in 1939, we’ve become a leader in the electrical industry and our journey has been one of continuous growth and transformation. Join us in commemorating our founder, George J. Martin, and the successive leaders who have carried on his legacy.

We had a great time touring students from East Greenbush Central School Howard L Goff Middle School as part of their career development class. Its always fun to show off the development while educating students about potential careers in construction and related industries. Thanks to Martin Electric for providing our hard hats and hosting the event!

Last week we had the honor of celebrating the retirement of Mr. James Ludwig! In 1986, Jim started his career with George J. Martin & Son (Martin Electric) as a 1st year apprentice. His career spanning 33 years provided for some great stories and words of wisdom to share among his colleagues, family and friends. Those that worked alongside Jim all had one thing in common to say about him, "they don't make 'em like that anymore." Jim was never, ever late. He always stepped up to take on the undesirable jobs - without hesitation or complaint. He couldn't bear to stand around and wait, so rest assured you better keep up! He had an unwavering loyalty and commitment to the company which we hope to have reciprocated.

While he may be retiring, Jim has no plans of slowing down. Jim will keep busy renovating his family's home in Florida in addition to hunting and fishing in the Adirondacks. We will miss his energy greatly but have a sneaking suspicion he will be back - even if just for a visit!

Congratulations on your well deserved retirement!
