What if you could make long-term gravel roof repairs without spud bars or fastening down recovery board?

Let me explain…

Roof contractors typically make gravel roof repairs using a thick asphalt tar or roll mod bit over the top.

A decision between cost and longevity.

What if there was a way to get longevity without the cost?

Emulsion 298 makes this possible. Western Colloid has been manufacturing their emulsion for over 50 years and many large manufacturers private label Western Colloid’s emulsion as their own.

Using a special clay and the colloid process, they’re the only ones who’ve figured out how to make an asphalt emulsion that will not alligator crack or peel.

Simply sweep away the loose gravel and flood the roof with Western Colloid 298 Emulsion and the roof is watertight.

If you want the repair to last 10 years, easy add onto the repair by embedding additional plys of polyester into the emulsion. Want 20 years? Add more plys. It's that easy.

This same method can be to waterproof large sections of TPO, Mod Bit, PVC, and EPDM roofs.

Emulsion 298 has been used to waterproof the beds of man-made lakes in California and can withstand ponding water without polyester reinforcement.

Lack of knowledge can cost you a lot of money. On the opposite end, you can make a lot. Look at how we apply asphalt emulsion.

Asphalt emulsion roof coatings are made of asphalt emulsified with water and clay. They’re lightweight and, since they’re water-based, low-odor, which makes them easy to apply, even for occupied buildings.
