It finally happened 😭 I had put together a temporary quarantine coop for an unplanned acquisition and thought I had it secured enough and a predator proved me wrong and nabbed one of our cuckoo Ameraucana hens … I am absolutely gutted over this… especially because they were my youngest sons project and he’s been so happy about them, thankfully we still have a pair and pray they are fertile so we can make some more pretty fluffy faced feather bums. Of course our beautiful girl we lost cannot be replaced but this has definitely opened my eyes to the cunningness of some creatures… new security implementation already underway… that being said… does anyone have any hatching eggs for cuckoo Ameraucanas? I’d like to strengthen our numbers for my little guy💙
