Today we were met with an unfortunate act of vandalism. While nothing was stolen from the truck or trailer, it’s clear someone intentionally tried to cause harm—shattering nearly every window and leaving behind signs of multiple failed attempts. It’s disheartening to see, but we know this world is broken, and moments like this remind us why our hope can’t rest in material things.

The police do have a person of interest, and thankfully, the truck was parked directly in view of a surveillance camera. We’re praying the full truth will come to light and justice will be served, but even more than that, we’re praying for the heart of the person who did this.

In all things—good and bad—we trust that God is still in control. He’s our provider, our protector, and our peace. We’re thankful this wasn’t worse, and we’re pressing on with grateful hearts for the work He’s given us and the people He’s surrounded us with. Even in setbacks, we choose to praise Him.

Today we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom. Their sacrifice is the reason we can enjoy the peace and beauty of the country we call home.

At Daisy Duke’s Landscaping, we don’t take that freedom for granted. We are grateful for the heroes who laid down their lives—and for the families who carry on their legacy.
